MIDDAY PAUSES – stay a while and tune into the wonder of us

MIDDAY PAUSES is a series of monthly meditative stories designed to bring balance to these complex times, by granting relaxation, peace and joy to your day.

Each story offers a moment of pause. Using a blend of storytelling, visualisation, music and sounds, we take you on a relaxing imaginative journey. Enjoy the benefits of five minutes away from your immediate surroundings.

MIDDAY PAUSES are born from my conviction that through practicing storytelling we can reach deeper towards understanding our humanity and pursuing a continuous connection with nature.

FOR WHOM

The stories are meant to be enjoyed by everyone, as part of your daily pauses, around midday. You can listen to them on your own or with your family.

HOW TO LISTEN

Use these stories as a reminder to be excessively kind and generous with yourself.

Find a comfortable corner at midday. Leave your worries behind. Grab a glass of water, sink into you chair, close your eyes, and drift away for a short while. Come back to whatever you are doing feeling calm, peaceful and refreshed.

SOUNDTRACK

The sound and music accompanying the stories are carefully selected to create a space for reflection, relaxation and introspection.

The stories are released on a monthly basis. You can find the stories on most music platforms. Here is a list:

on itunes: here

on spotify: here

You can also find the first story in this series by searching ‘Alexandra Cuncev Gathering Light’ wherever you download your music. Add it to your meditation playlist and make it part of a midday routine.

Here is a list of the stories coming up in the next few months:

NOVEMBER: Gathering light: available where ever you download music and meditations

DECEMBER: Oranges, pyjamas and the Christmas light: coming up

JANUARY: Wind, stories and dreams: coming up

FEBRUARY: Grass roots: coming up

How did the idea come about?

It has been almost a year since I started the podcast. Whilst the community around it grew, and your feedback is consistently encouraging, the podcast itself is slowly becoming unsustainable and there have been many occasions when it had to be interrupted.

I have been thinking about  how to ensure production costs are met (hosting, editing, recording, music), and since for now we have made the decision not to resort to adverts within the podcast, I decided to think of another way to make the podcast possible, whilst bringing something new and of value to our community.

This is how the midday pauses were born. Like most things. From a fortunate combination of inspiration and need.

I hope you enjoy listening to them as much I enjoyed creating them.
