These days, supporting a charity is a personal choice.
We are able to make a real difference for the charities we are supporting. With this, comes increased responsibility and a need to choose what is relevant to us.
I have always been a believer of supporting a cause we believe in, and one which we are sure will genuinely help someone.
Here is a list of the charities I featured on this blog. I came across them in various ways. Of some, I heard on the radio (generally, the BBC), and that pushed me to look into them further. Of others, I know from working in the sector. And still some – they are often pioneering, and always very brave initiatives of my friends. That is, people I feel honoured to call friends. People with high ideals and lots of self-denial.
I keep updating this list as the blog grows.
